| The concept for the RainbowCoin originated a couple of years ago when a few friends were sitting at Kim’s Klub, a local Lesbian bar in Tampa, Florida. | ||
| Our friend was flipping a rather large, eye catching coin and when asked about it, his explanation that he would never be caught without it and why started us thinking. Our friend has been a member of the Army’s elite the Special Forces Group for many years. This group has what they call the “Challenge Coin.” Every member of this, and other affiliated groups has one of these official coins. The coins purpose is Unity. | ||

| The idea was that if this Special Group had something that united them and only them so well, Our Special Group of Gay and Lesbian people should have something similar. | ||
| We
feel this is an entertaining and binding method of keeping us all together as
well as introducing each other to other members of our community. |
||
| Needless to say we started to work designing the RainbowCoin, And WOW It was Beautiful. It was a lot of work and expensive , but we got it done. | ||
